This branch of the Hassel Family was established on May 31, 1997 when Stephen Brian Hassel and Joanne Marie Speicher were married in Cortland New York at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church.

By October 22, 1998, our family had grown to three with the birth of son, Jared Stephen. Jared was born at Columbia Hospital for Women in Washington D.C. He weighed 8lbs 4 oz.
